The name “Children’s House” comes from Maria Montessori’s very first school founded in 1907 in Italy, “Casa di Bambini”. She chose this name to reflect the fact that the children should be learning and growing in a space that is designed for their needs, not the adults. We honor these ideals today, and our spaces are designed to serve the physical, academic and emotional needs of our students.

OUR STORY

MEET OUR FOUNDER
MARIA GOVONI

Montessori has been a huge passion of mine for the last fifteen years, and I, myself, was a Montessori student from ages two-ten. I remember my time in a Montessori classroom fondly. I loved my teachers, the materials, and the environment. I truly believe my early years in the Montessori classroom helped shape the person I am today. I love that Montessori honors the individual, meets them where they are, fosters a lifelong love of learning, and nurtures peaceful connections with others. I feel honored to share this special method with the Childrens House families.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children!
